Translation of Medical Documentation Relating to Ultrasonic Inserts, Infusion Therapy, Care Solutions, Hazardous Drugs, Occlusions, Surgical Recovery, etc. (Since April 2014)
Why HQ-Translators?
The medical doctors and health specialists who collaborate with us regularly for medical and health related translation services were instrumental in our being hired by this client. With their medical training and bilingual background displayed in their respective CVs, our medical translators could not go unnoticed. Our client, who at that time was still a potential one, understood that he was to work with professional and experienced translators, who are specialists in their fields of specialisation and work only into their mother tongue.
Background
The final client is a US company with worldwide operations that develops, manufactures, and sells medical technologies used in vascular therapy, oncology, and care applications. The client’s products are intended to get clinicians to improve their patients’ wellbeing by helping them prevent bloodstream infections and keeping healthcare workers away from exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous drugs. The customer’s product line includes, among others, custom infusion sets, needle-free vascular access devices, needle-free closed blood sampling systems, advanced sensor catheters, etc.
The Challenge
Imagine you are a medical doctor who has to read a document on how to administer treatment to a suffering patient. It has to be written using medical jargon by someone who knows what s/he is talking about. Failing to do this could lead to irreversible consequences. We were fully aware of this and it was the challenge at stake.
How HQT Helped
In addition to the fact that linguists with a medical background and experience were assigned to this client, HQ-Translators first visited the client’s website to understand who they are, what they do, what their objectives are and so on. This information was necessary for us to understand the environment in which we were working as they proved to be extremely valuable in the course of the project. For information we could not find in the course of our research, we would contact the client to make sure all was clear, so we could leave no stone unturned.
The Result
The result today is the client’s satisfaction, translated into our continuous collaboration with the customer, who continues sending us files for translation as the need arises.
